After touring Japan's tea villages and seeing the camellia sinensis trees firsthand, the ways in which they're shaded, tended, loved, I began drinking high-quality Matcha a few days a week. Recently Pique sent me their Sun Goddess Matcha to try: Quadruple-screened for toxins, crafted to the highest standards, actual ceremonial grade (which means the very richest tips of the leaves on the trees are used in this creation).

These leaves are shaded a touch longer to produce more amino acids like l-theanine, this Matcha is high in polyphenols, offering balanced energy for the morning, even supportive for digestion and skin. One tiny packet of Pique Sun Goddess Matcha into my tea bowl, a touch of water to cover it, then whisk until it's creamy. Then I add a bit more water and coconut milk. YUM. Sometimes I'll add MCT for more sustained energy if I have a full morning of writing.
