Part of what makes us human is our ability to communicate verbally.
But what contributes to our happiness, and to satisfying relationships, is our ability to communicate well.
NVC teaches us how to first listen to what is alive in us, and to become clear about exactly what we want to communicate before we begin speaking.
It also teaches us how to hear the other person’s words with an open heart, to hear the feelings and needs behind their words.
This helps us connect with the other and feel empathy before we speak.
We often believe that communication is all about what we say, but really it is about what the other person hears. NVC helps us to bring awareness to our words before we even speak so it is more likely the other will be able to hear us.
I can say with no exaggeration that NVC has changed my inner life, my relationships, and my teaching in wonderful ways I could have never imagined.
Join Elena and me for our second set of eight, two-hour live sessions, exploring together how to listen with our heart, and then speck from the empathy and wisdom that has arisen in us.
We are looking forward to working with you.
If you serve or teach others, we'll also touch upon how to use language in our work and our home contexts. More importantly, we’ll practice how to hear the needs of others, and how to express our own needs in all our interactions by using skillfulness and radical presence.

Learn what it means to give yourself and others empathy in a way that invites you to honor and live by your highest values.
